School-based curriculum:
1. Electives: 2X and 3X. Taking into consideration of the students' ability and interest, they can apply for 2 or 3 elective subjects in the NSS curriculum.
2. Curriculum highlights: For students taking only 2X, the Whole Person Development Team has designed a comprehensive OLE curriculum underpinned by the principles of 'learning by doing, gaining wisdom from life and nature' to provide other learning areas ranging from financial management, careers planning, cherishing life, cultural experiences, farming, wetland to sustainable development for students to explore their interests and potentials. Besides, the Chinese, English and Mathematics departments have also designed subject-based feature curriculum: RAC, LA and TIPS respectively, to enrich their exposure.
3. Curriculum highlights: To cater for students' needs and to keep pace with contemporary educational trends, STEAM elements have been infused in KLAs like Science, Technology and Mathematics, in order to develop students' talents in STEAM-related areas. Besides, the Guided Activity Periods are tailored to promote students' whole person development.

Moral and National Education is designed to help students develop proper values and positive attitudes towards life as well as to have a better understanding of our motherland.

Life Planning Education:
1. A whole-school approach has been adopted in the implementation of life planning education. We provide a variety of programmes for students, all of which begin at different levels. These include talks for different forms, seminars for small groups; in-school training workshops; small group visits to workplaces and summer job placements, as well as sharing sessions offered by successful persons. Different teams and subjects all play a part in giving students a better perspective on their career life planning.
2. Junior Form students are encouraged to embrace their career dream and set specific goals. We begin by helping them review what they have achieved in primary education, so as to identify their strengths and weaknesses. They are then given guidance to plan for their senior secondary education. In senior forms, all students have to review their aspirations. After being enriched by different school activities and life experiences, their increased exposure may help refine their dreams and draft more realistic plans for themselves. Appropriate programmes for further study are introduced to them, ranging from courses for Higher Diploma, Associate Degree to Degree courses. Apart from further studies in local institutes, our teachers also provide career advice to students who aspire to study overseas.
3. This year, alumni will be invited to share their work experience in YLPSS Career Expo and Alumni Mentorship Scheme. In order to expose students to the workplace, our school is one of the key organisers of Rotary Club Career Expos and will participate in summer placement programmes organised by NGOs. Coupled with guidance given by teachers, students in YLPSS are nurtured with a wide spectrum of Life Planning Education.
