The school is located in Islands, and covers an area of approximately 15000 square meters. The supervisor/chairman of the school management committee is Peter Ho Mr.,And the principal is Diana Lo Ms. B.Sc. (Hons), PGDE, M.Ed.. The sponsoring body of YMCA of Hong Kong Christian College is Young Men's Christian Association of HK and is a Protestantism / Christianity school. The mission of the school: "We envisage our school as a learning community where quality education, based on Christian beliefs and values, is offered in a joyful and stimulating setting. We believe that the foundation of this learning community is based on the joint partnership among teachers, parents and students. We also believe that students should take an active role in serving and caring for their community. Social service training is given to all students in the YHKCC. Orientation Activities and Healthy Living
Summer Bridging Course and Activity Exploration Day introduce the curriculum and extra-curricular activities offered to students on Orientation Day, and in late August.
We emphasize the importance of eating healthy food and doing the right amount of physical exercises to keep our students physically fit for challenges in life. In addition, the school based Personal, Social and Health Education curriculum provides a platform for students to learn and understand various moral and civic education issues, healthy life and eating habit, study skills and careers topics.
Our school also works with a canteen service provider, Chartwells, to provide on-site catering service for our students. A team of chefs prepares wholesome and healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks for students every day. The choices are always in a great variety and multi-cultural, healthy and of a high standard.

Our school is fortunate to be located in a beautiful part of Lantau Island where we enjoy fresh breezes from the leafy hillsides that surround the school. Our spacious campus and generous sized classrooms are augmented by specialist teaching rooms including STEAM Lab, Science Laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Integrated Science), Fine Arts Centre, Home Economics Room, Geography Room, Multi-media Centres. Wi-Fi is available throughout the school.

Whole-school Language Policy:
The school has students from about 40 countries, and English is used as the common language of communication as well as medium of instruction in all subjects (except second language). All students study English and Chinese as a second language as well as either French and Spanish as a third language.
Learning and Teaching Strategies:
Our teaching approaches put the student at the centre of the learning process. We aim to provide student-centred learning and teaching experiences which actively engage students in developing their understanding. In most cases students are placed in appropriate sets according to subject choice and ability.
All subjects in the school are taught in English (except second language). We offer both UK curriculum - IGCSE and GCE A-Level, and local curriculum leading to the HKDSE. In Form 3, students can apply to either continue with the HKDSE in Forms 4 to 6 or apply to take IGCSE examinations in Form 4 and then GCE Advanced Level ("A" Levels) in Form 5 and 6.
This year, the school puts special emphasis on students' ownership of learning, and strategies such as Assessment for Learning and independent study skills and self-assessment strategies are in place to help improve learning and achievement.

Our school introduces a “FUTURE” programme to provide F.1 to F.6 students with quality life planning education and career guidance services which are aligned with the diverse, developmental needs of students at different forms. The activities range from self-exploration/self-adjustment, study and career options, work placement experience to further education expo, etc. Students are supported to make informed decisions in relation to their interests, abilities and orientations as well as assisted to manage and adapt to the transition from school to the workplace.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
Students taking English, second language (Chinese) and third language (French or Spanish) and Mathematics are divided into smaller groups of approximately 20. In the higher forms, a great variety of subjects such as Drama, Literature in English are offered.
Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
The school is committed to providing support for students with special educational needs in personal growth, learning and other aspects. The Student Support Team including EAL Coordinator, Special Educational Needs Support Team, educational psychologist and social workers comprehensively cater for individual needs of students.
To provide students with opportunities for diversified development and self-discovery, the Student Support Team provides various types of support for students with SEN, such as: in-class and after school support, a social skills training programme, Individual Educational Plans, access arrangements, differentiated learning and teaching, and appropriate student guidance services.
