School Management Organisation:
Our school has implemented school-based management, accompanied with the leadership from the Principal, Vice-principals and Assistant Principals. The school was managed with three aspects, namely, Students Development, Learning and teaching as well as Administration and Management.

Incorporated Management Committee / School Management Committee / Management Committee:
The Incorporated Management Committee was founded in July, 2009, comprises representatives from the sponsoring body, independent professionals, parents, teachers and alumni in formulating school policies.

School Green Policy:
The Buddhism and Value Education team is responsible for promoting environmental protection.
During assembly lessons, we invite different environmental NGOs to give talks to our students and workshops are arranged as extra curricular activities. Also, we organise voluntary services for students to experience and make contributions to the society about related topics. Knowledge concerning environmental protection is included in the syllabuses of some academic subjects like Integrated Science and Integrated Humanities.

Whole-school Language Policy:
In spite of adopting Chinese as our teaching medium, we hire a full-time NET. Besides, we arrange English language extension activities in 8 subjects and small English learning groups in all class levels. We also encourage students to sit for international English assessments such as Cambridge English, TOEIC and IELTS.

2. Curriculum highlights: During the Junior Secondary stage, we promote differentiated instruction. Through group work and tiered homework to cater to students of different abilities, and to help students develop a clear study goal.
Senior Electives: 3X. Providing subjects in the Arts, Business, Science and Applied Learning, with S5 subject changing arrangements and S6 subject dropping arrangements to allow students to make the right choice for themselves regarding their own abilities.

Development of the Four Key Tasks:
1. Moral and Civic Education
Our School emphasizes students' development of their character. We set up a Buddhism and Moral Values Team to systematically design different events and moral education lessons through form teacher periods, Buddhism Lessons, different subjects and education weeks.
2. Reading to Learn
The school has implemented an Education Week to promote cross-subject reading with different themes.
At the same time, many book exhibitions, book sharing sessions and author talks are held each year to promote the reading culture in school.
3. Project Learning
Every Subject curriculum covers a wide variety of project learning elements, allowing students to further discover more in their studies, so that a habit of cooperation could be cultivated.
4. Information Technology

Student Support

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
Devoting our care to all of our students:
1. Three class teachers for all Secondary 1 Classes.
2. Develop a Teaching mode with different groupings to cater for students' learning needs.
3. Implementing the "Multi-Dimensional Counselling Strategy", the Counselling Team, the Student Support Team and the Career Guidance Team will collaborate with each other to provide a much more precise counselling service for students.
4. Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, 3 Social Workers and 3 Counsellors are available to provide professional counselling services for students.
5. Offering after-school tutorial classes to consolidate students' learning.
6. Recruiting additional teaching assistants to help students develop their potential.
7. Setting up over 40 kinds of after-school activities for students to join.

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
1. Using a Whole School Approach to promote integrated education and communion culture. A student support team including the Vice Principal, the SENCO, teachers from core subjects departments, social workers, teaching assistants, and Educational psychologists, to provide support for students with special learning needs.
2. Flexible use of Learning Support Grant to support students in all aspects of learning. In terms of student support, through our schools’ curriculum, diversified teaching strategy, after-school learning support etc, to care for students’ differences in learning. In terms of student growth, our school hosts a wide variety of events, career planning projects in order to develop students’ intelligence and create more opportunities for them to achieve success.
3. Our school attaches great importance to the cooperation between parents and school. In addition to establishing constant communication, the team also actively meets parents at Parent Days to review the situation of students and set study plans for individual students. All these measures let parents adapt a more effective way to take care and teach their children.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos

Home-School Co-operation:
We have established the Parent-Teacher Association. It serves as a channel of communication between parents and the school. The association is involved in formulating school policies and organizes a range of parent education activities involving both parents and their children. PTA is an intimate working partner of the school.

School Ethos:
We place a strong emphasis on the integrity of students. Teachers are strict but compassionate. We teach students with patience.
In the latest report of External School Review, we received high appreciation as follows: School puts priority in caring students, strongly believes students can distinguish the right from wrong, they are willing to learn and can be changed. Principal and teachers care students and guide them steps by steps, aiming at giving students to experience success and help them to build up confidence. In turn, they can have stronger motivation to learn. School enriches students learning experience with a wide range of extra-curricular activities, inter-school competitions and cross-border learning. Students are encouraged to strive for excellence both inside and outside classroom. Teachers and students, therefore, build up a strong bond with mutual trust and respect. Such a caring learning atmosphere enhances students' sense of belonging to school. Parents also appreciate the school's support and care to their children. Teachers have strong team spirit and offer mutual support. Middle managers also set good role models and are willing to take up responsibilities. Teacher Professional Training and Development:
We implement quality teaching and sharing clusters. 3 teachers' development days are held every year to allow teachers to learn from one another, exchange teaching experiences and insights so as to enhance the effectiveness of learning and teaching. We also introduce educationists and experts to work with teachers to enhance the quality of the curriculum.

Life-wide Learning (including Five Essential Learning Experiences to be provided through Key Learning Areas, extra-curricular activities, co-curricular activities, etc.):
Learning does not only happen within textbooks but also outside textbooks. Over 40 training camps and workshops of various kinds are organized every year and more than 1000 participants are benefited. The headcounts of voluntary work are over 700. Study tours outside Hong Kong involve over 300 students. Besides, a tour is organized every two years to award students of contributing services, good conduct, and outstanding academic performance.
According to the 'learning experience profile' set by the school, students are provided chances to experience basic life and learning skills. There are over 40 clubs and societies in our school including school teams and interest groups. Among them, the Dragon and Lion Dance Team, Visual Arts Team and Robot Team have represented Hong Kong to take part in competitions overseas and won the world champions. Wind Band, Sports teams, Dancing group and students in Speech Festivals and IT competitions have got a lot of prizes.

Others

Incredible results have been achieved by students.
1. Students of STEM are brilliant, they have represented China and Hong Kong to take part in the robotic competitions held in Japan, Korea, Singapore, USA, Germany, Brazil and Mexico. They have won the world champion of super teams.
2. A student of Visual Arts won the Gold Award in a design competition held by the NASA. She is also the only Chinese that obtained the best result in the past 16 years. Moreover, a student won the global champion (aged 16-19) of an art competition held by a world famous museum.
3. The Lion and Dragon Dance Team have won several times of the Hong Kong Champion and even a world champion in the competition held in Malaysia.
4. The track and field team were awarded one 1st place prize, four 2nd place prizes and one 3rd place prize in the Hong Kong Athletics Series competition; two 1st place prizes and one 2nd place prize in the Citizen Athletic Association Youth Competition, in the Boys B Grade 100m and 200m championships, we even broke the Association's record; one 1st place prize and one 2nd place prize in the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation Athletics Competition.
5. We were awarded The Hong Kong Award for Young People-Gold and Silver Award (Given by the Chief Executive and Chief Secretary for Administration of Hong Kong).
6. We have received 2 Gold Awards,12 Silver Awards and 23 Bronze Awards from the 2022 Junior Form Online Self Learning Course hosted by the Education Bureau.
7. The Hong Kong Schools Music Contest (Hong Kong Region) 2022: 3 Champions, 4 first runners-up and 5 second runners-up.
8. Outstanding Student Award 2022 (Kwun Tong).
9. In Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival 2021, there were lots of merits awards obtained by Chinese and English Sections.
10. Research Centre for Contemporary Chinese Cultural online reading award scheme 2022 : 4 Gold Awards, 1 Silver Award, 2 Copper Awards.
11. We got the Merit Award in a territory-wide competition related to History and Architecture for secondary schools and was organised by the EDB, of which only 10 schools were awarded with this prize in addition to the champion, first and second runners-up.
