Belilios Public School is a Gov't Girls secondary school located in Hong KongThe school was founded in 1890. The school is located in Eastern, and covers an area of approximately 5574 square meters. The supervisor/chairman of the school management committee is LEUNG Magnolia Ms,And the principal is WONG Fei Ms (HKU BSc (Hons)). Our school will accept discretionary places. Our school will participate in the Secondary School Places Allocation System through central allocation stage (Applicable for admission to S.1 in September 2023 ).Admission Criteria and Weightings:
Interview performance 40%; Academic Results (Rank order provided by EDB) 45%; ECA 15%;
Conduct: B or above.

Orientation Activities and Healthy Living

1. S.1 Adjustment Programme which lasts for three to five days is organized for newly admitted S.1 students;
2. S.1 Parents' Orientation Day;
3. Summer Programmes for new students: We offer Chinese, English and Mathematics adjustment courses for S.1 students;
4. S.1 Parents' Night.
5. The school cares about the well-being of students’ physical and mental health. The Health and Sex Education Team organizes different health-related activities. Knowledge and skills on healthy living are taught through Home Economics, Physical Education and Biology lessons.

School Management Organisation:
1. Belilios Public School is a government grammar secondary school for girls in Hong Kong. It is operated by the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region;
2. In 1999, the School Management Committee was set up with a view to reviewing the school's annual plan and major concerns. The committee comprises the chairperson, PEO from EDB, the Principal, 2 teacher representatives, 2 parent representatives, 2 alumni representatives and 2 independent members;
3. The School Development Committee, consisting of senior teachers, meets regularly;
4. The school conducts self-evaluation by the end of the year.

School Green Policy:
The Environmental Education and Conservation committee is responsible for formulation of policies and co-ordination of work concerned. The committee includes members from the senior management of the school, teacher advisors and student representatives. The policies include recycling materials and reducing consumption of energy. Learning and Teaching Plan

Whole-school Language Policy:
The aims of our school Language Education is to cater for the diverse interests and abilities of our students, we have been offering Modern Languages since 2008. To develop our students' global perspectives, we work with other institutes and provide Japanese and French courses to senior form students. Other than that, we are also honoured to have invited some well-known leaders in Hong Kong who all excel in their own fields to host an innovative English speaking programme called the 'English Speaking League'. With the insight and interesting background of big names, students will certainly learn from their experience as they hear their success stories and learn English with fun.

Learning and Teaching Strategies:

1. Electives: 3X. Our school offers 14 electives. Students can choose three electives at S.4-S.6.

Curriculum highlights: Our school offers Business Fundamentals in junior level which aims to provide foundation knowledge and skills for students so as to ensure a good interface for their studies in senior form Economics and BAFS. Besides, there is an afternoon in alternate cycle being set aside for Life Wide Learning activities in order to widen students' horizons.

Reading to learn: The school promotes the reading culture through various reading programmes. Responses from students are encouraging.

Whole School Approach to Catering for Learner Diversity:
The diversity of students' learning ability is addressed through the following ways:
- Provision of a broad and balanced curriculum with a wide range of subject choices;

Whole School Approach to Integrated Education:
To support students with special educational needs, our school establishes an inclusive education policy, flexibly utilizes resources and works out a plan to arrange teachers to attend relevant special education training courses in a systematic manner. The SEN team works with school social workers to implement different measures in supporting SEN students. We offer academic and counselling support to students and organize programmes such as training sessions on social skills, board games and speech therapy services to enhance their learning skills and life skills.

Home-School Co-operation and School Ethos

Home-School Co-operation:
Through the PTA, parents participate in voluntary work contributing to student learning. Some even serve the students in the life-wide learning curriculum.

School Ethos:
Our students are polite, well-behaved and enthusiastic learners. There is close collaboration between the Counselling and Discipline Teams, both aiming to raise students' self-esteem and developing their multiple intelligences with unfailing support from full-time school social workers.
